Go past a gate & fence marking the edge of the Superstition Mountain Wilderness. Go up an inclined ridgetop & then drop down into a shallow wash at the mouth of Hieroglyphic Canyon. It's very rocky. Seasonal pools. Petroglyphs are somewhat faded. Official path ends & is often overgrown. The Superstition Mountain ridgeline is further up at about 4,600 feet. Don't go alone.
